I am pleased to call for nominations for the University Professorships for Undergraduate Teaching Excellence. This award is given on a yearly basis and consists of two professorships.

The professorships will be awarded for three-year terms and will include a $5000 annual supplement to salary and a $5000 bursary for programmatic and personal professional development for each of the three years.  Professorships will not be automatically renewed after the three-year term is over. However, previous holders may be re-nominated by their college. Faculty members who are selected for these professorships are expected to be actively involved in faculty development programs in teaching for the duration of their award.

The guidelines for the award are attached to this e-mail.

Nominations must be received in the Office of the Dean of Faculties by 12:00 p.m. on Monday, March 5, 2018. Please contact Sandra Harnden at awardsprograms@tamu.edu or at (979) 845-4274 with any questions.
