EMERITUS


From Standard Administrative Procedure 31.08.01.M0.02 - Faculty Emeritus Status: Every faculty member who, at the time of retirement, holds a tenured appointment at Texas A&M University and has served the university at least 10 years must be considered for emeritus/emerita status unless the faculty member requests in writing that he/she not be so considered.

Non-tenured faculty, or those who have served less than 10 years, may also be considered.  Please reference System Policy 31.08.01 Granting of Emeritus Status to Faculty

To facilitate this process we have developed these Guidelines for Emeritus Nomination.

All packages must include the Recommendation for Emeritus Status Form.


Nomination packages received by the Dean of Faculties office will be considered for recommendation at the Board of Regents meetings below:
