WRONGFUL DISMISSAL, NON-GRANTING OF TENURE, NON-RENEWAL OF APPOINTMENT


Grievances involving wrongful dismissal, non-granting of tenure and non-renewal of appointment are covered under University Rule 12.01.99.M2 - University Statement on Academic Freedom, Responsibility, Tenure and Promotion.

These grievances are heard by the Committee on Academic Freedom, Responsibility and Tenure (CAFRT).

If you believe you have cause for grievance in any of the above categories, you are encouraged to make an appointment to speak with the Dean of Faculties for a confidential consultation. The Dean of Faculties will advise you of the resources and options available in your situation. If you decide to file a formal grievance, the Dean of Faculties will advise you on how to proceed.
