The Office of the Dean of Faculties and the Office of International Programs occasionally provides financial assistance to faculty who receive Fulbright Grants. Following notification of receipt of a Fulbright Grant, awardees shall prepare, in consultation with their department head, a financial needs request which should include a statement of Fulbright (or other) support for salary, travel, housing, etc, and an estimate of additional support needed for salary including fringe benefits and any other relevant expenses. With regard to travel monies for this purpose, state and university rules will apply. The department head and dean shall then confer with the Dean of Faculties to define a financial support package for the faculty member. The expectation of the Dean of Faculties is that the department and the college will work together to make full the salary of the individual during the time period covered by the award. The Dean of Faculties, the college, and the department will work together to provide funds to relieve a portion of or the total financial burden imposed upon individuals whose accomplishments are recognized through a Fulbright Grant.
