The American Council on Education (ACE) sponsors the ACE Fellows Program. Under the provisions of this program, faculty members from participating institutions become part of a leadership development program, completing their work at either their home institution or another participating university. This leadership development program consists of an individualized learning plan focused on an issue identified by the institution and the Fellow, off campus visits, interviews, and three national seminars. The nominating institution pays the Fellow’s salary and benefits for the year and covers all interview and placement process expenses, regardless of the placement option selected. If placement is off-campus, the hosting institution pays the program fee and provides a budget for travel and related expenses. Applications for this program are available from the Dean of Faculties Office or your dean’s office. The deadline for nominations to be sent to the Dean of Faculties Office each year is usually in October and nominations have to then be submitted to ACE by November Faculty members should contact their department head or Ann Pittman in the Dean of Faculties Office for more information. |
