The University Libraries have revised and augmented their research impact metrics guide and invite the Texas A&M community to attend their virtual "Demonstrating Research Impact: Metrics and Responsible Use" workshop series - Feb. 8, Feb. 28, March 25 and April 17.

The Faculty Aspiring Leadership Program welcomes applications from interested faculty beginning March 1.

The Division of Research has launched a program providing small grants to faculty with active sponsored research to help pay for dependent care costs when the faculty member attends a professional research meeting.

Global Engagement is presenting the 2024 Fulbright Workshop and Reception for faculty at each career stage to learn what Fulbright opportunities are available to them and to celebrate the culture of Fulbright success at Texas A&M.

Professional Development for Early Career Faculty

Faculty Affairs hosts monthly sessions focused on informational and development opportunities for faculty. On the first Monday of each month, Faculty Development Series sessions will be open to faculty on the College Station campus and across the Texas A&M University System. Attendees are invited to participate in-person and via Zoom. Lunch will be provided to in-person attendees.

To promote a culture of mentoring within and across Texas A&M University, the Center for Teaching Excellence provides evidence-based mentoring workshops to enhance faculty mentoring capacity and competency.

Faculty Affairs oversees fellowships and grants in partnership with other entities. These opportunities allow faculty to further advance their career.

Generating Professional Success (GPS) workshop is designed to help faculty review expectations and learn about successful strategies for promotion on the academic professional track.

The Graduate and Professional School provides graduate research mentoring development opportunities for faculty and graduate and professional students to improve their mentor and mentee skills.

New Faculty Orientation provides new Texas A&M faculty members the tools and resources to initiate successful careers in Aggieland.

In order to facilitate the preparation of packages and dossiers for the promotion and tenure review cycle, Faculty Affairs hosts regular workshops for prospective candidates. View the slides here.

This workshop helps early career tenure-track faculty review expectations and successful strategies for receiving tenure. This program occurs annually along with the "GPS" and "Got Tenure! Now What?" workshops.

Professional Development for Mid-to-Late Career Faculty

APT to Lead is cohort-based professional development program for Academic Professional Track (APT) faculty members in or pursuing academic leadership positions.

Faculty Development Leave provides full-time tenured faculty unique opportunities to expand their scholarship and professional development.

The Graduate and Professional School provides graduate research mentoring development opportunities for faculty and graduate and professional students to improve their mentor and mentee skills.

Mentorship programs are available to Texas A&M faculty to support their professional development and their contribution to creating and sustaining our nurturing working and learning environments.

The Mid-Career Accelerator is a learning community for mid-career faculty to focus on building and maintaining professional success strategies at least three years post-tenure.
